Recruiting Process

As of July 5, 2010

In order to locate, identify and bring on board the appropriate person for the position of Director of Church Administration for the Fellowship Evangelical Free Church of the Back Mountain, the following process is recommended.

Recruiting Specification Draft (Completed)

Tom Dimmick, Bob Kocher and Lee Piatt to DRAFT and submit to Elder Board via Elder Piatt

Recruiting Specification Approval (Completed)

Posting of Position

Position to be Posted in the Church

Position to be Posted in Eastern District

Position to be Posted to Alumni of Baptist Bible

Position to be Posted to Alumni of Word of Life

Position to be Posted to Alumni of Trinity

Position to be Posted at WRGN

Resume Collection

Resumes are to be submitted electronically to the email address on the Recruiting Specification.

Paper resumes are not desired but may be given, in person, to either Bob Kocher or Tom Dimmick.  They will be scanned and put into an electronic format by either Bob or Tom then destroyed.

No paper resumes will be accepted by the Elders, Pastors or Church Staff

Paper resumes placed in Bob Kocher’s or Tom Dimmick’s church mailbox will be discarded.

Initial interviews are to be conducted with members of the Personnel Committee

With at least two members of Personnel present, ALL members of FEFC who submit a resume and desire to be considered for the opportunity will be interviewed.

All FEFC candidates who meet all of the “Must Have” requirements and a minimum of 80% of the other requirements in the recruiting specification will be sent to the Elders for further consideration

Exclusive of FEFC members, it is desirable that a slate of at least three (3) screened candidates will be submitted to the Elder Board by the Personnel Committee for the Elders’ consideration.  The Personnel Committee will detail the qualifications of each referred candidate.

Second Interviews will be conducted with members of the Elder Board

One or two final candidates will meet with Pastor Marc

One or two final candidates may undergo a Caliper Personality Test

Interviews with Pastor Marc for Finalist(s)

Extend an offer of employment

Background and reference checks to be done

If at any point in the process there are insufficient candidates, the previous steps in the process will be repeated.  However; previously rejected candidates will not go through the process again.
